The attack on Saudi embassy: delusional reformist and crisis-creating mafia regime.

The ruling Mafia regime in Iran needs crisis like a fish needs water. The attacks on the Saudi Embassy and council were well organized. After the Nuclear submission in Vienna, we knew that they were going to create a fourth crisis and constantly warned about it. However, most of our reformists, who are constantly mistaking their 'wishes' with 'reality', were over the moon after the deal and thought that everything would get better - that the time of honey and milk would begin as president Rouhani had promised; that the dried lakes would overflow, that the deserts would bloom and that an economy of prosperity would replace the economy of poverty and corruption.

The thing is that the "reformists" (they still fail to properly define what they mean by reform) are the ideal "opposition" for any dictatorial regime as they can so easily be played with, used and cast aside. Are they going to learn from their repetitive mistakes? I don't think so, because as long as they operate within discourses of power they inevitably mistake 'wishes' with 'reality' (here, I'm talking about the sincere reformists who are an absolute minority within the reformist elites).

Anyway, the first crisis which they created in order to weaken the democratic front and impose velayate faqih into the constitution was the occupation of the American embassy (although it was planned by Kissinger and Rockefeller in the US; last year, one of the top regime guys – I forget his name – said that the plan was brought to Iran by Musavi Khoeinihaa). The second crisis was the continuation of the Iran-Iraq war in order to solidify their grip over state and society. Then the nuclear crisis, with multifaceted goals including seeking assurances from the US that they were not going to implement a policy of regime change in Iran. Now this, which is deepening military interference in other countries in the region.

It is simply ridiculous to argue that the attacks on the embassy were spontaneous. In this regime, no such "spontaneous" move has ever taken place. The only spontaneous movements in Iran are the ones which challenge the regime, like the student uprisings or the first demonstrations at the outset of the Green movement. These only happen when a certain faction within the regime which is the pivot of power (Revolutionary Guards and the Mesbahieh sect) decides to take it. So the order should come from the top. A few months ago, hundreds of Iranians got killed in the pilgrimage in Mecca. This shocked the country, but no "spontaneous" act happened. Why? Because at the time an order to act had not come from the top.

Lastly, it seems that war with Saudi Arabia is becoming a possibility as the new despots of Saudi Arabia are not only delusional but, like any other warmongers, overestimate their power.

As long as our people play the role of bystanders, the Mafia regime will move the country from one crisis to another while the lakes gets drier, the desertification of the land expands, the poor become poorer and the military-financial mafia gets richer.
